At Lafferty Aluminum & Screening, we help Florida homeowners create outdoor spaces that are beautiful, durable, and made for year-round living. Serving Brevard and Indian River Counties, our team delivers expert craftsmanship on every project, from pool enclosures to hurricane protection.

Living near the ocean is hard on a screen enclosure. Salt air corrodes the fasteners, relentless sun makes the screen brittle, and a single storm can tear out panels or leave the whole cage looking rough. When that happens, you don't necessarily need a new enclosure — you need the right repairs, done well. That's what we do.
We repair screen enclosures for homes throughout Brevard and Indian River County — from Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach through Indialantic and Melbourne Beach, and down into Vero Beach, Indian River Shores, and Orchid — getting your pool cage or lanai back to tight, clean, and bug-tight.
Here's exactly what we fix:
So you know what to expect before you call: we do not repair or replace super gutters, or the structural gutter that connects your enclosure to your home's roof. That's the large integrated gutter running along the top of the enclosure where it ties into your roofline — it falls outside our screen-repair scope, and it's better handled by a gutter or roofing specialist. If your repair need is that connection, we'll be upfront about it rather than take on work outside what we do well. Everything else on the enclosure itself — screen, doors, beams, and fasteners — we've got.
Enclosures on the barrier island wear differently than inland ones, and it usually comes down to four things:
Catching these early keeps a small repair from turning into a bigger one.
Whether it's one torn bay or an entire tired enclosure, rescreening restores it. For isolated damage, we replace the screen and spline in just the affected panels. When the screen is brittle or faded throughout, a full rescreen brings the whole cage back at once — and it's the ideal time to upgrade your mesh while we're at it. We offer 18x14, 20x20, florida glass, privacy, and pet screen to meet your specific needs.
Beyond the screen itself, we handle the structural repairs that keep an enclosure sound. We replace doors that have sagged or whose hardware has failed, so they close and latch properly again. We replace beams that have been bent or corroded, restoring the frame's integrity. And we replace corroded or failing tapcons and screws — the anchors and fasteners that hold your enclosure to the slab and hold the framing together — which is one of the most common salt-air repairs on the coast.
If your enclosure is damaged beyond practical repair, we'll tell you, and we can build new — see our screen enclosures page.

"I would give them a higher rating, if I could. They did a total screen replacement on our birdcage pool enclosure. They never took a break, cleaned up all the debris, and stayed till the job was done even though it took longer than they expected. Very professional, excellent results and very satisfied with their work!" - N. Merchant

No. We do not repair or replace super gutters or the structural gutter that connects your screen enclosure to your home's roofline.
The super gutter is one of the primary structural components of your enclosure. Replacing it often requires partially supporting or lifting the enclosure away from the home, along with extensive staging and reconstruction. This process can introduce additional risks, including disturbing existing seals, creating new areas that require waterproofing, and increasing the potential for future leaks or other structural issues.
Either. We do single-panel rescreens when the damage is isolated, and full rescreening when the screen is brittle or faded throughout. We'll tell you honestly which makes sense for your enclosure.
Yes. Storm-torn screens and damaged panels are among the most common repairs we do on the coast. [Confirm your storm-season turnaround.]
Salt air corrodes fasteners over time. We replace corroded tapcons and screws so your enclosure stays anchored and the framing stays sound.
Yes — rescreening is the perfect time to upgrade to a finer no-see-um mesh for coastal biting insects, or a solar or privacy mesh. [Confirm your options.]
Yes. Door replacement, including failed hardware, is one of our standard repairs.
It's replacing a structural aluminum beam in your enclosure that's been bent or corroded. We assess the frame and replace beams that are failing to restore its integrity.
We'll tell you honestly if repair isn't practical, and we can build a new enclosure — see our beachside screen enclosures page.
