At Lafferty Aluminum & Screening, we help Florida homeowners create outdoor spaces that are beautiful, durable, and made for year-round living. Serving Brevard and Indian River Counties, our team delivers expert craftsmanship on every project, from pool enclosures to hurricane protection.
In Palm Bay, a patio, lanai, or garage can add a lot of usable space to your home—until afternoon sun, mosquitoes, no-see-ums, or a lack of privacy makes you head back inside.
Lafferty Aluminum & Screening installs custom motorized screens in Palm Bay, FL, giving homeowners more control over their outdoor spaces with on-demand shade, privacy, airflow, and insect protection.
Lower your screens when you need them. Retract them when you want the space completely open again.
Motorized screens use a retractable mesh panel that raises and lowers at the push of a button. Unlike permanent screening, you decide when you want the screen down and when you want a completely open space.
That flexibility makes them especially useful for existing patios, lanais, garages, outdoor kitchens, and entertainment areas that serve different purposes throughout the day.
Motorized screens allow homeowners to instantly adjust their outdoor environment throughout the day. Lower the screens for shade and bug protection or retract them completely to enjoy fresh air and open views.
Our systems are commonly installed on:
Each installation is professionally measured and custom-fit for clean aesthetics, smooth operation, and long-term durability.
West-facing patios in particular take on intense direct sun in the afternoons. Solar screen fabric knocks down glare and heat buildup without fully blocking natural light, which keeps outdoor furniture, flooring, and finishes from taking as much UV damage over time.
In tighter Palm Bay neighborhoods, privacy mesh gives homeowners a way to close off a backyard patio, pool area, or garage gym without building a permanent wall or fence extension — airflow stays intact even with the screen down.
Evenings are when Florida mosquitoes and flying insects are most active. A lowered screen blocks that without shutting off airflow the way a solid door or window would.
Our retractable screen systems are designed for smooth, quiet, and convenient operation.
Available features include:
With one touch, you can instantly adjust your outdoor space based on weather and comfort needs.
At Lafferty Aluminum & Screening, we use durable materials designed specifically for Florida climates and long-term outdoor exposure.
Our systems feature:
For homeowners looking for additional durability and storm protection, we also offer hurricane-grade motorized screen options.
Solar mesh is the right call for patios that get hit hard by west-facing afternoon sun. If your home is closer to your neighbors than you'd like, privacy mesh solves that without a construction project. Garage screens should be chosen based on how you actually use the space — a home gym wants more airflow than a hobby room might. And if your property sees strong wind during storms, adding a wind sensor protects the system by retracting it automatically rather than leaving it exposed.
Installation quality affects all of this — proper tension and sealed tracks are what keep a motorized screen operating smoothly years down the line, not just at installation.
Homeowners trust Lafferty Aluminum & Screening because we focus on creating custom outdoor solutions built specifically for Florida homes and lifestyles.
We provide:
